With an inspiration from our ancestors and our personal convictions, we the sons and daughters of Obanta of Ijebu-Ode are proud of our heritage and totally committed to the progress of our people. We have come together to form an association of our indigenes residing in the States of Maryland, Virginia and in Washington, The District of Columbia, for the purpose of furthering our aspiration of cultural, socio-political*, economical and technological advancement of our people. To fulfil our obligations to our homeland and share our proud heritage with our youth in particular and the world in general. We will be good ambassadors of our people, enriched with the knowledge of our heritage and committed to the betterment of humanity in general.
